  • Our 2011 Volunteer of the Year

    Congratulations to Michelle Monday

Michelle MondayMichelle was very central member of the Certification Committee this past year. For both spring workshops she did instructor management - recruiting instructors and back-ups, communicating with them, providing them the decks for the workshops, and maintaining the instructor master file of evaluations. She also worked at both spring workshops as monitor and 'general problem solver.' For the fall workshop, she took on even more. Not only did she volunteer to revise materials and teach a module, she stepped in for our VP who was sent to South Africa for several weeks for several weeks. Michelle took over managing the revisions of all the modules, led the weekly committee calls, and did all the follow-up that was required to get the modules finalized, edited and secured onto flash drives. She also coordinated all the printing, instructors and backup instructors for the fall workshop without which there really would be no workshop.
She relocated to Michigan at the end of September, continued to do all the coordination during and after the move, and paid for her own travel to fly back to Richmond to work both days of the first weekend of the workshop.

In addition to all of her Certification Committee work, she also donated her time to the 15-year anniversary planning committee, putting together the trivia game before she moved. This award is to recognize Michelle for the over 300 hours she put in for the chapter in 2011. We hope the Michigan chapter will receive as much benefit as our chapter did. The chapter is proud to recognize Michelle for her volunteer efforts in the past year and as our 2011 Volunteer of the Year.
