2009 Board Election Timeline
Half of the year is gone!  It is time again to start thinking about electing new Board members for our chapter.  It might seem early, but fall and elections will be upon us sooner than one would think.  You will be seeing and hearing more of these planning activities. 

I will be heading up the 2008 Nominations committee.  Our committee is charged with identifying suitable candidates and administering the election process.  There are 5 positions for which our membership will be electing Officers in October – President Elect (2009), VP Communications (2009-2010), VP Finance (2009-2010), VP Membership (2009-2010), and VP Professional Development (2009-2010). 

This is an exciting organization to be part of!  Our elections will be held from Friday, September 19 through Friday, October 10th.  Please vote!!  And, better yet, please consider stepping into a Board position.  Send me an e-mail (Board.Nominations@pmicvc.org) and we can discuss the positions and commitments so you can decide if this is right for you.

Do you ever think about the value of our volunteers?  The PMI CVC chapter only operates because of volunteers like you and me.  We have the opportunity to elect some new chapter Board members to take the reigns and move our chapter forward.

For some individuals, this is a wonderful chance to become more involved in the chapter and have the prospect of learning some new skills and making some new friends.   I invite each one of you to review the Board roles and responsibilities and consider if this is the right time and occasion for you to “throw your hat in the ring” and try for an Officer role.  If you are interested, or have questions, you can contact me at Board.Nominations@pmicvc.org.

And, for each chapter member, I encourage you to vote this fall for your new Board members.   The leaders you select make the agenda for the chapter!

We now have over 200 group members. Joining is voluntary and quitting is easy, if you decide it's not for you. Anyone can post topics, including job opportunities, for discussion by the entire group.
