2010 Economic Progress Report and Forecast
Presenter:
Raymond Owens, III, Vice President and Sr. Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
Event Location:
Pfizer, 1211 Sherwood Avenue Richmond, VA 23221
We are pleased to have Raymond Owens, III, Vice President and Sr. Economist,
Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, speak to the APICS Richmond Chapter on May
11, 2010. Ray Owens is a senior economist and research advisor in the
Research Department and has been with the Richmond Fed since 1983. Owens has
published academic articles in fields as diverse as monetary policy,
financial markets, and economic development policy, but he spends most of his
time analyzing national and regional economic conditions. In addition, he
frequently talks to groups on current economic developments and is regularly
quoted in the financial press. Owens created the Richmond Fed's monthly
surveys of manufacturing and service sector activity. If you saw Mr. Owens
speak at our May 2009 PDM meeting, this is a great opportunity to see how our
economy has progressed since then in the wake of the stimulus package, recent
consumer spending numbers, and the latest gross domestic product numbers.
Please bring your boss or supervisor to join in this enlightening and
extremely timely discussion on the 2010 Economic Progress Report and
Forecast.
