BIO AND INTRO FOR BONNIE DAVIS

Ms Bonnie Davis is a Senior I.T Consultant. She is a PMP with over 35 years of experience working for IBM and various private sector companies and with multiple consulting organizations. Her industry involvement includes: aerospace, finance, insurance, manufacturing, local government and, for the past several years, various state agencies of the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has managed and mentored project managers, developed project management and system development life cycle processes and procedures, and conducted project reviews.
She was a member of the Capitol One Y2K Program Office, served as the Quality and Risk Manager of the Virginia Election and Registration Information System Project, and recently served as the Program Office for a group of small projects providing additional project and risk management support.
Her recent experience providing PMO support for small projects is the basis for this evening’s exploration of the role of the PMO in small projects: value- add or encumbrance?
