Certification Workshop - Instructor Auditions

Seeking PMPs to Audition as Instructors for Our PMP Exam Prep Workshops
  • Do you enjoy helping others prepare to take the PMP – and be successful?
  • Do you have ideas, tips, and guidance based on your experience taking the PMP Exam that you’d like to share with our workshop participants?
  • Do you have great communication skills – and can explain project management concepts clearly, using examples from your experiences?
  • Can you field questions from workshop participants to help them understand the concepts being taught?
  • Do you have a good working knowledge of the PMI Processes and Knowledge Areas
  • Would you like to give-back to the chapter – and earn PDUs?

If you’ve answered these questions ‘yes’, then please join us for Instructor Auditions on January 28!

  • Download the application for instructors at Application to be an Instructor
  • Complete and send to Linda Bell-Sinclair at joifull1@me.com. She will review your application and contact you to schedule a time on Saturday, January 28.

How the process works:

  • You’ll be provided a shortened version of the Scope module and will prepare a 15 minute presentation.
  • Your teaching will be evaluated by seasoned instructors.
  • Those selected by the panel will be invited to participate in the instructor development program – earning PDUs during the process.
    • Select 2 – 3 modules that you’re interested in teaching and observe these sessions at the Spring workshop.
    • Serve as co-presenter at the next workshop on the module of your choice. You’ll work with the lead instructor to share the delivery and you’ll receive some mentoring and coaching.
    • You’ll then be on our roster of instructors and be invited to teach modules in our upcoming workshops. You may elect to serve as lead instructor or back-up or co-presenter.

Under the current PMI guidelines on earning PDUs, you’ll earn one PDU for each hour you volunteer with a maximum number of 45 PDUs over a 3-year period in this category.

Please note that only those who have participated in the audition process will be invited to teach in our PMP Exam Prep Workshops.
