This presentation will give you an overview on various flavors, structures and service offerings that a Portfolio Management Office can offer to your business. With a focus on (1) Building The Right Things = Governance and (2) Building Things Right = Project & Program Management, this presentation will also touch on Risk Management, PM Center of Excellence, Tools, Support Services, and Security. From this, you can work with your leadership team and decide what products and services best fit your company’s needs and budget.

Speaker Bio:
Jack Crowley discovered the PMBOK in 1992 while working at NJ Transit, trying to manage operational projects with the IT folks. It was a God send. He received his PMP in 1997 and continued to go through multiple copies. In 1999, Jack discovered the word of the Capability Maturity Model and began to blend Project, Program and Portfolio Management along with Software Engineering practices. He helped a number of organizations reach SW-CMM Levels 2 and 3. At the end of 2001, Jack moved from NJ to Chesterfield, VA and joined Capital One. In 2007 Jack returned to the consulting world working on a number of projects, programs, portfolio management and Executive Governance. He kicked off the PMI CVC PMO LIG with the help of a bunch of folks. Currently, Jack is the senior Program Manager building a Cloud Infrastructure for the US Government.
