If you have been active with the Chapter over the past year you will notice some changes to the web site, the registration process and most certainly our programs.

The Communications and Professional Development committees have been working hard to enhance our services in these visible areas to our members. Other committees, Membership, Volunteerism, Programs, and Certification, have been working just as hard behind the scenes to enhance the member experience and make sure our volunteers are satisfied with their experience as well. Remember also that the spring Certification Workshop is just around the corner in May.

Coming up later this year you will be able to experience a "members only" feature of our web site and perform self-service with registration changes. We are all pretty excited about this.

It hardly seems possible but in a few months we will be holding elections for the chapter Board of Directors for 2011. As you know, half of the board is re-elected each year. I encourage members to think about running for a board position, or if you know someone that has been discussing it among your peer group, please encourage them also. It is a great experience, one I recommend and it supports the chapter.

Thanks to all of you who support our chapter. I have spoken to many of you who are members but have never attended a chapter meeting. Please take time to attend a meeting on either the South Side or West End and discover what you may have been missing. The speaker line up this year is wonderful and the food is pretty good too!
