Below is the Agenda for our May 27th   PMO CVC LIG series. Please note
we are having the PMO CVC LIG on a Tuesday as Monday is the Memorial
Day.

Berlin , MBA, PMP

 2)  Speaker -  Mike Meikle , President & CEO, Socius Corporation

Topic  “"Marketing Project Portfolio Management.  Selling a
Methodology to a  Skeptical Organization".   He will cover recent
trends in methodologies and their effectiveness and how they relate to
the possibility of PPM becoming accepted within an organization.
These trends will include the barrage of Six Sigma, TQM, Lean and
Agile project management that has inundated organizations and has made
them jaded to the effectiveness of yet another process improvement
odyssey.  He will also cover, briefly, the international view of PPM
and various process improvement methodologies and how they are
believed to impact doing business with U.S. companies.

Mike Meikle Bio:

Mike Meikle is founder and CEO of Socius Corporation
(www.sociusonline.com), a management consulting firm that has been
serving government and corporate clients for over seven years.

As a Senior Consultant and Senior Program/Project Manager for
several   organizations across government, health, telecommunications,
corporate and education sectors, he has provided the technological and
organizational leadership that has delivered such success.

He has consistently improved the project management and development
practices for organizations such as the Virginia Department of Health,

 Richmond Montessori School, Virginia Department of Emergency
Management, and many more. More recently at Virginia Department of
Social Services, he has led the project management of the Division of
Licensing Programs Health and Information Network (DOLPHIN), which is
an adult and childcare facilities licensing system that was
implemented statewide. The project won the Governor’s Silver
Technology Award and was written up in Washington Technology for the
development and implementation of the innovative pen tablet.

His  broad industry and business experience has allowed him to develop
the  essential communication and management skills necessary to
