The PMI CVC Board makes plans each year to serve the interests of chapter members through the services they can offer.
Here are the current volunteer opportunities:
Programs Committee – the West End committee has lost some volunteers and needs new committee members.
Professional Development Committee – one or more volunteers are needed as project managers for events.
Certification Committee – volunteers are needed to cover the workshop event dates. These are all day Saturday events.
Communications Committee – volunteers with technical expertise or interest in Drupal, PHP, Content Management Systems and/or setting up a blog are needed to help with the new website.
Community / Corporate Outreach – volunteers that live or work in the Charlottesville area are needed to help establish a new meeting venue for the area.
Marketing Committee – there will be an emphasis on marketing and gaining sponsorships in 2010. New volunteers are needed to help get this moving this year.
Volunteerism Committee – new volunteers are needed to assist with the PMI CVC programs and activities. We have a number of different roles, if you have interest in joining this committee.
PMO LIG Committee - volunteers to support the PMO LIG meetings, identifying speakers, managing the registration, and hosting the meeting.
If you are interested in volunteering for any of these opportunities, please contact Sally Deering, VP Volunteerism at vp.volunteerism@pmicvc.org
