VP Volunteerism

Roles and Responsibilities

The Vice President of Volunteerism is responsible for all matters related to recruitment, coordination, and recognition of volunteers supporting Chapter activities.

The responsibilities of the VP of Volunteerism are as follows:

  • Serve as a central point of contract for volunteers for the Chapter
  • Maintains a chapter volunteerism plan to enable successful staffing of committee and/or ad hoc volunteers
  • Maintain a current file of open / requested positions by area
  • Coordinate with Board members to announce / post open positions
  • Encourage volunteerism within the PMI Central Virginia Chapter
  • Keep a list of potential volunteers for future chapter needs
  • Host the annual PMI CVC Volunteer Recognition event, in conjunction with VP Programs
  • Maintain an active list of all PMI CVC volunteers
  • Ensure consistent award of PDUs per criteria in the Continuing Certification Requirements Handbook
