Partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University
| PMI CVC Professional Development - Partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University |
In an effort to further the advancement of project management in the Central Virginia region, our chapter has worked with Virginia Commonwealth University to build a partnership centered around furthering project management knowledge. This partnership includes a variety of activities.
Elizabeth Murray Scholarship - In the year 2000, PMI CVC and VCU established a scholarship at VCU through a $10,000 donation that was matched by the university's Endowment Fund. This award is a merit scholarship given to a student at Virginia Commonwealth University who is pursuing a career in project management. The scholarship is named after Elizabeth Murray, a charter member of the Central Virginia Chapter and president for two years during the chapter's initial stages.
