Volunteers Needed

The PMI CVC Board makes plans each year to serve the interests of chapter members through the services they can offer.  It takes VOLUNTEERS to make this organization work!  Please consider helping in one of these areas as we head into 2010.

Volunteerism Committee Roles – Do you want to meet lots of people and get them better connected with the chapter? The Volunteerism committee is forming and seeking volunteers to support getting more volunteers. This committee also provides information about volunteer opportunities, and tracks the volunteers for the chapter.

Volunteer Recognition Committee Roles – Do you like to plan parties? We are starting our planning session for the Annual Volunteer Recognition meeting in January 21, 2010. We need some people to assist with the planning and execution of this event.

Communications Committee Technical Roles – Do you have technical experience and want to have a chance to use it on the new PMI CVC website? The Communications Committee is busy implementing a website framework and design and needs to have multiple committee members with technical expertise in any of these: Drupal, PHP, Content Management Systems, and/or setting up a blog.

Membership Retention Committee Roles – Are you interested in talking to our members? A new committee is being formed to improve and encourage our members to remain with the Central Virginia Chapter. To do so, we need to determine the reasons for membership and non-renewal.

Retention Program Team Member (from one to three volunteers)
The Retention Team Members will contact members to solicit feedback using scripted or unscripted telephone conversations to add the personal touch. The Retention Team Member will:

• Receive member calling list from the Lead
• Call members following the script and record feedback
• Report feedback
